G700 provides plenty of room to grow. And with an optional SCSI RAID card, you
can easily add an external storage unit such as the Acer Altos S300, or construct
a cluster of Altos G700 servers to support all your business needs.
For added data security, an optional SCSI RAID card can be installed
using the PCI slots to provide even faster and more secure data transfer, and
the hot-swappable HDD trays mean that you can remove and replace a hard disc
without having to power down the system.

32-bit PCI slot, while the EasyPCI tool makes changing your PCI cards simple.

customers, and the reliability of your server. Maintaining your server is made
so much simpler by having the tools that tell you what is happening now, and
what has happened in the past. The Altos G700 includes management tools to help
you easily understand these issues. A warning LED in the front of the case gives
you a quick indication if something isn't quite right, while Acer's innovative
Acer Server Manager software keeps an eye on your system's performance. Acer
also supplies Remote Diagnostic Manager software to increase your flexibility,
so you can manage your server from any PC that has Internet access.
Finally, the power supply unit is equipped with diagnostic LEDs,
ensuring that even during unexpected power interruptions you're always in the
know.
