LogNet's CSP Usage
& Costs Analyser - "UC Analyser" - version 2.1 is a comprehensive
web-based analytical platform designed specifically for the Communication Service
Provider "CSP" marketplace. The UC Analyser allows for real-time dynamic
analysis of both cost and usage information for decision makers within the CSP
corporate customer base.
Corporate customers
are guaranteed a secure environment to manage the wealth of information about
their bills, usage and costs that currently resides within the CSP billing and
operational systems.
By using a web application,
the corporate customers can flexibly generate custom reports by selecting the
data required for analysis. The UC Analyser offers intuitive tools that assist
in the identification of data, the sort selection, and summarization, display
formatting, and information storage and distribution options.

System Administration
The UC Analyser comes
with an administration dashboard for tuning and configuration. The system administrator
at the CSP and/or the corporate customer can create hierarchy levels, which
describe the corporate structure by divisions, departments or branches and to
attribute the relevant handset to the relevant departments or employees.
Security levels can
be created for user authorization and creation of pre-defined access privileges.
Knowing Your Customers
The UC Analyser can
also be accessed for the CSP's internal use. Corporate account managers can
use the tool for analysing their customer's usage patterns, expenditures and
trends.
Based on that data,
strategic planning and decisions can be taken in order to reduce churn and providing
better customer services.
Platform Architecture
The UC Analyser has
the following three main components:
Application Server - manages the business logic and can be any EJB compliant
Application Server like BEA Weblogic or IBM Websphere. These results in achieving
high volume transaction management, distributed application support, built-in
security mechanism, scalability, robustness and fail over.
Database - includes
a loading application that manages the loading process of billing data to the
platform database. The data is then stored in our proprietary schema structure.
The database can be any relational database with a JDBC driver like Oracle or
MSSQL.
Presentation Server
- displays data to the customer and can be virtually any web server like Apache
or IIS. Our presentation server supports HTML, XML, WAP, SMS and Email Display
options.
