TROY's 2Port interface significantly increases the capabilities
of any Hewlett-Packard printer that uses the Enhanced I/O (EIO) expansion
slot, including the 2100, 2200, 4000, 4100, 4500, 5000, 8000, 8100, and
8500 series. It provides capabilities not available on most standard HP
printers, including a Universal Serial Bus (USB) port and an RS-232 serial
port. The 2Port uses flash memory, so it can be upgraded in the field
if required through the serial port.
